Cost Control Engineer

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cost Control Engineer in the construction industry, with a preference for experience in Gulf countries, particularly Saudi Arabia.
  3. Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  4. Strong understanding of construction project management principles and practices.
  5. Experience in implementing and managing cost control processes and systems.
  6. Familiarity with industry-standard software for cost control and project management.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  10. Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is highly desirable.
  1. Prepare the projects’ cost baseline at the projects commence
  2. Follow the projects’ direct cost related to the company resources and staff
  3. Compare any PO/agreements against the estimated cost
  4. Compare the actual cost to date with the earned value at the same date
  5. Propose corrective actions to mitigate any negative deviations from the estimated cost
  6. Define the updated estimate at completion for each work item and for the project overall
  7. Document any cost deviation details
  8. Verify the suppliers’/subcontractor’s payment request
  9. Follow the client invoices with the project team, and guide them to maximize the invoiced amount
