Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cost Control Engineer in the construction industry, with a preference for experience in Gulf countries, particularly Saudi Arabia.
- Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of construction project management principles and practices.
- Experience in implementing and managing cost control processes and systems.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software for cost control and project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the projects’ cost baseline at the projects commence.
- Follow the projects’ direct cost related to the company resources and staff.
- Compare any PO/agreements against the estimated cost.
- Compare the actual cost to date with the earned value at the same date.
- Propose corrective actions to mitigate any negative deviations from the estimated cost.
- Define the updated estimate at completion for each work item and for the project overall.
- Document any cost deviation details.
- Verify the suppliers’/subcontractor’s payment request.
- Follow the client invoices with the project team, and guide them to maximize the invoiced amount.
